Iwatani and Helious Specialty Gases (HSG), Indian specialty gas company, recently announced that they signed new helium supply contract.
The contract involves Iwatani supplying liquid helium to HSG’ transfill facilities located in Gujarat, Telengana, and Rajasthan, the latter two having been commissioned in the second quarter of 2022. According to HSG, these facilities can handle one million N㎥ of liquid helium per year.
It will see Helious become the first industrial company to have three helium transfill facilities in India.
“From earlier this year, we face to global helium shortage caused by supply chain disruption due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis. It will help us to cater the vast geography of India. we also plans to advance our ventures into ASU and hydrogen production facilities within the next two years,” said Ajay Chawla, Director, HSG.
